Topic: Is There Culture in a Cultural Centre?

Mr. Michael Lynch, an experienced art administrator, has over 35 years of experience in international art administration, and 20 years as a senior manager. From 1998 to 2002, he served as CEO of the Sydney Opera House and formulated a strategic plan in responding to its capital needs over the next 50 years. Mr. Lynch worked as CEO of the London Southbank Centre from 2002 to 2009. He successfully oversaw the refurbishment of Royal Festival Hall and transformed the London Southbank Centre into one of the globe’s leading cultural centres. In 2011, he was appointed CEO of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Hong Kong. Mr. Lynch will start the talk from personal experience and share his distinct perspective in realizing culture in our lives.
